Pepper farm operation, 1962
Pepper farm employees work alongside a conveyor belt system. Crates fill the top floor of the structure and workers are spaced out along the conveyor belt, performing different tasks, some load the belt with peppers from the field while other inspect and sort the peppers for shipment. The pepper field may be at Hogan Farm in Jupiter. Photographs taken by or at the behest of W. R. Scott, who served as the president of the Stuart Chamber of Commerce, a state representative and attorney for the city of Stuart and the county. -
