Mobile library trailer, c. 1983
According to A History of the Martin County Library System, by Luann Justak and Nina Taylor, the trailer served a mobile library for Hobe Sound and Indiantown in the 1980s. The mobile library unit would be parked in each community for two weeks every month. A library branch opened in Hobe Sound and Indiantown in 1984 and 1990 respectively. -

Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, US Life-saving Service, with the caption: "Louisa Coutant is entertaining her grandchildren Virginia and Ralph C. "Bob" Willits at the Mosquito Lagoon House of Refuge. The date of the photograph is probably 1911, judging by the ages of the children. Samuel Coutant retired from the U.S. Life-Saving Service the following year. Note the recently added upper-story bank of windows." -

Cassie Holmes Munch (1863-1946), Charles Holmes Munch (1913-1980), and Mattie Archer Munch (1875-1948). Cassie Munch settled in Jensen Beach in 1893 and his wife in 1908. Charles Holmes Munch (1913-1980) was a lieutenant in the Navy in WWII, and a teacher in the Martin County School System for ten years. -
