Dr. Julian Parker, 1961
Dr. Julian Parker speaks with then Stuart mayor Jack Hartman at the dedication of J. D. Parker Elementary School held on November 11, 1961, which was also proclaimed "Dr. Parker Day" jointly by the County Commission and the mayor of Stuart. All those delivered by him were invited, and 1,500 attended. In conjunction with the school's dedication, Parker's wife is seated next to him and crowds visible in bleachers behind the couple. Dr. Parker arrived in Stuart in 1924 and retired in 1972. -
