St. Lucie Annex, 2003
The St. Lucie Annex in downtown Stuart. Building originally used as the annex for the St. Lucie Hotel, moved from the end of St. Lucie Avenue to the corner of St. Lucie and Seminole in 1925. In 2026, it is the Boathouse Restaurant. -
The Clifton Guest and Fishing Lodge, 2003
The Clifton Lodge-Hawken House at 41 West Seminole Street. The house was built in 1914 by architect Sam Matthews. It served as the Clifton Guest House and Fishing Lodge for many years before changing ownership several times.
During the 1950s, Ralph Evinrude stayed at the property before marrying Frances Langford. Lenard and Arline Hawken used it as their personal residence from the 1950s through the late 1980s, then it underwent major renovations under the ownership of Dianne Browning Davant. In 2018, the building was nearly torn down for condo developments before it was purchased by Steven Vitale, who had it relocated near his other historic properties at the Old Colorado Inn. -
Haney Circle, 1998
The Abundance statue and Haney Circle in downtown Stuart. Coffee & Sweets Co. in the background. Coffee & Sweets Co. operated at 7 East Osceola Street from around 1994 through the early 2000s. As of 2026, a Thai and sushi restaurant occupies the building. In the background on the left is Damiano's Under a Hot Tin Roof, a restaurant serving transcontinental cuisine. As of 2026, the building at 18 Seminole Street is occupied by an Italian bistro. -
Haney Circle, c. 1995
The Abundance statue and Haney Circle in downtown Stuart. Abundance was moved from Memorial Park to Haney Circle in 1991. The Jolly Sailor pub and restaurant in view behind the statue. Duffy's Sport Grill replaced The Jolly Sailor in 2003 and as of 2026, continues to occupy the building at this location. -

Fellowship Hall, 1990
Sidewalk and street under construction next to Fellowship Hall and the Feroe Building in downtown Stuart. Fellowship Hall, located at the corner of Osceola Street and St. Lucie Avenue (204 St. Lucie Avenue in 1990) was originally built in 1912 as the Bank of Stuart. The structure housed many different businesses and functions over the years including a few different banks, City Hall/Municipal building, a shoe store, a locksmith and a restaurant.
During the mid-1970s, the building began serving as a community meeting space and became the location for Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in particular for over 40 years. A fire occurred in the building in 1986, destroying the second floor and roof. Stuart architect Peter Jefferson helped in the reconstruction after the fire. As of 2026, a bar occupies the building with the address of 301 SW St. Lucie Avenue. -
Vacant Dyer building, 2009
Dyer's Dry Goods store opened in 1914 and closed in 1982 as the Dyer's Department Store. As of 2026, it still stands vacant at 10 SW Ocean Blvd. -
