Description

Sidewalk and street under construction next to Fellowship Hall and the Feroe Building in downtown Stuart. Fellowship Hall, located at the corner of Osceola Street and St. Lucie Avenue (204 St. Lucie Avenue in 1990) was originally built in 1912 as the Bank of Stuart. The structure housed many different businesses and functions over the years including a few different banks, City Hall/Municipal building, a shoe store, a locksmith and a restaurant.
During the mid-1970s, the building began serving as a community meeting space and became the location for Alcoholics Anonymous meetings in particular for over 40 years. A fire occurred in the building in 1986, destroying the second floor and roof. Stuart architect Peter Jefferson helped in the reconstruction after the fire. As of 2026, a bar occupies the building with the address of 301 SW St. Lucie Avenue.
