Possibly taken in conjunction with effort of Bert and Harold Krueger to fly from New York to Florida on their seaplane "Blue Bird" on 1 October 1922. They had engine trouble which caused them to land several times, and finally wrecked off the north Florida coast near Cumberland Island. No one was hurt. -

Ram-Jet Helicopter, 1959
Small helicopter parked in the yard of a home on East Ocean Blvd. Albert Paul "Bert" Krueger is standing to the right. Krueger acquired and taught himself to fly the Hiller YH-32 "Ram-Jet" helicopter in 1959 (Stuart News, 30 July 1959). It was destroyed during crash at the dedication of the Civil Air Patrol hangar at Witham Field in December 1959.Tags Helicopters
