Mayor D.W. King, Jr., standing behind the seated queen, did the crowning. The queen's attendants, left to right, are Miss Delores Law, Miss Lorraine Lovell, Miss Ernestine Ricou and Mrs. Edith S. Moore, all of whom were candidates in the contest. Sixth candidate, Miss Alice Crane of Salerno, was absent."
