  • The restaurant Harry and The Natives (at the corner of Bridge Road and US 1 in Hobe Sound) was first opened in 1941. The name was later changed name to "Harry and the Natives" in 1989.

  • Educator Costella Williams. Williams was a teacher for 46 years, many of which were spent in Martin County schools. Williams was the first teacher at the first Black school opened in the county. Williams taught at this one-room schoolhouse in Port Salerno for 20 years. In 1995, the one-room schoolhouse/art room was named in her honor (Costella Williams Learning Center).
