Addison Alexander Whiticar holding a pipe, c. 1965
Ad Whiticar arrived in Martin County in about 1917 and was an early charter boat captain, with a fleet of seven boats. His sons continued the Whiticar Boat business for many years.
Published in the Stuart News (29 Dec 1966). Incorrectly identified in the Florida Cracker Sampler as George Curtis Whiticar. -

The Stuart City Band was formed in about 1915, disbanded during WWI, and was reformed in 1920.
