Self portrait of Flora Frazier Dyer (1878-1937) with camera. The Frazier family moved to Martin County in 1887 when Flora was nine years old. She later married Harry Dyer and had several children. Dyer was a photographer, ran the Dyer Dry Goods Store while her husband was undergoing treatments for tuberculosis in New Mexico, and grew and sold roses commercially (her business was named Virginia Gardens). -

Flora Frazier Dyer (1878-1937) moved to Martin County with her family in 1887 when she was nine years old. She later married Harry Armstrong Dyer and had several children. Flora was a photographer and painter. She ran the Dyer Dry Goods Store while her husband was undergoing treatments for tuberculosis in New Mexico. Flora also started her own commercial plant business, growing and shipping roses. Her business was named Virginia Gardens, after her youngest daughter. -
