Harvey Seymour Gideon (1898-1964) opened Gideon's Camp in 1930, a tourist camp. In 1936, he transformed his service station to a dance hall called Seymour's Inn (Conchy Joe's in 2024). He also played harmonica with Seymour Gideon's String Band. He also served as a Martin County Commissioner (1950-1960) and was married to Lucy Pitchford Gideon.

Buildings in downtown Jensen before the 3 May 1908 fire, which destroyed most buildings in the town, including stores, warehouses, and train depot. The Al Fresco Hotel (large white building on the left side, back) was not damaged in the fire.
The R.R. Ricou Building, home of W.B. Tilton Real Estate & Insurance and the U.S. Post Office. The post office was located in the Ricou Building in Jensen Beach from 1908 to 1928, then moved there again in 1947.
