Stuart Transfer Company opened in 1925 on Flagler Avenue, then moved to the Lyric Theatre building in March 1926. They were a hauling company.
In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade. Governor John Wellborn Martin attended as a special guest.
