Arbuckle Bros. advertising trade card, c. 1893
Advertising trade card for the Arbuckle Bros. Coffee Co, card No. 59. On the front is a Map of Florida and the adjoining states of Alabama and Georgia. The images around the map includes a bunch of oranges and a Florida resort. The front also gives the sq. miles of Florida as 58,680 and the population as 269,493.
On the back is an advertisement for Arbuckles' Ariosa Coffee and a description of the trading card series. -
Arbuckle Bros. advertising trade card, c. 1893
Advertising trade card for the Arbuckle Bros. Coffee Co, card No. 12. According to statement on the card "This is one of a series of fifty (50) cards giving a pictorial history of the United States and Territories." A few tidbits of Florida history on the right side of the card include the mythic tale of Ponce de Leon's search for the Fountain of Youth and a brief mention of the Seminole and Civil Wars. The left half of the card is an advertisement for Arbuckles' Ariosa Coffee.
Illustrations on the front of card titled "Fighting the Seminoles in the Swamps (1835-42)," "Spaniards in Florida" and the "Old Gate at St. Augustine." -
Ayer's Ague Cure advertisement card, c. 1890
Card printed (on back) with information about Ayer's Ague Cure, a patent medicine to treat Malaria, fevers and "liver complaints." Main scene on card shows a log cabin with two figures next to it and a man in a rowboat nearby. Bottom right corner shows two frogs offering the Ayer's Ague Cure tonic to an alligator. -

Young black boy poses next to a bunch of bananas on a tree. Racist caption on back of postcard reads "The banana is not a fruit of a tree but of a giant herb, which, in the tropics, attains the height of 40 feet and leaves of a foot wide and 6 to 10 feet long. A large flower bud of small, purple flowers appears, each flower developing into a small banana pointing upward. Fully as popular with the small darkie as the watermelon wine, the banana coaxes a smile from the little black boy, who pokes his kinky head through a large leaf." -

Quatrain poem on postcard uses racist and exaggerated mock dialect "I'm just scairt as I can be, I'm 'fraid this 'gater's goin' to get me, Oh, mammy, come and get me soon Or you wont have no little coon."
