  • Front exterior view of The Lyric Theatre. There is a "Coming Soon" window advertisement which displayed the movie poster for The Buccaneer, which was directed by Cecil B. Demille and starred Frederick March, released in 1938. A few automobiles are parked in front of the theatre and a couple of people walk on the street.
  • Concrete bridge across the St. Lucie River in Stuart, Florida. This bridge, built in 1918, was officially named the Flagler Bridge, but it was also referred to as the Dixie Highway Bridge, the Stuart Bridge, and the St. Lucie Bridge and was replaced by the original (Old) Roosevelt Bridge in 1934.
  • Exterior view of the nineteen room Palm Villa hotel in Palm City, Florida. Several people sit on the front porch and steps. The hotel was built in 1913. The roof was damaged by a hurricane and the hotel was destroyed by a subsequent strong storm in 1928.
  • The Lighthouse Pier was built in 1937 as part of renovations made to Speedy's Inn which became The Lighthouse Restaurant. The pier was rebuilt and had another grand opening in 1945 after the establishment was closed for several years during WWII. The Lighthouse Pier served as a base of operations for two charter fleets offering both sailfishing endeavors and small craft for river and bay fishing.

  • Exterior side view of the third Methodist Church built in Stuart. This church was dedicated in 1917 after the upstairs construction was finished and was located at the corner of West 3rd Street and Albany Avenue.
  • Exterior front view of the second Methodist Church built in Stuart. This church, located at the corner of 2nd Street and Albany Avenue, was dedicated in 1907 but was destroyed by a fire in 1916.
  • Front view of The Victory hotel which was previously the Peacock Arcade on Flagler Avenue. The building was remodeled and opened as The Victory Hotel in March 1942; the Marine Room and Beach Club opened in March 1944. Front façade of the building advertises a bar, cocktail lounge, package goods, billiard parlor, restaurant, Marine Room & Beach Club, and beauty parlor. The Victory Hotel later became the Toric Hotel in December 1950, the Tropic Hotel in March 1951, and the Commodore Hotel in September 1956. It burnt down in January 1959.
