Nearly identical photo published in The Stuart News (Thu, Dec 27, 1956) with caption: "New Switchboard Modernizes Phone System. County Commissioner Earl Knoll of Indiantown, pulls the switch as the new system for Indiantown Telephone Co. goes into operation. Others are (left to right) Wilkins Linhart, telephone engineer for the Florida Railroad and Public Utilities Commission, O. D. Hataway, representing merchants of the area, J. W. Fortson, farm manager for A. Duda & Son, and J. E. Yelvington, farm manager for Burrell & Son. The new service greatly expedites long distance communication vital to the section's growers and shippers."
