Dr. Parker's office, 1956

Dr. Parker's office at 27 E. Ocean Blvd in Stuart. Dr. Julian D. Parker (1895-1987) arrived in Stuart in 1924 directly after finishing his medical training. He worked at the St. Lucie Sanitarium until it closed in 1936 then for many years was the sole doctor serving the community of Stuart. In 1961, the J.D. Parker Elementary School was named after him.
