Description

Santa with child on his lap. Published in the Stuart News (29 Dec 1955, p. 8) with the caption: "Here is Santa interviewing one of the more than 400 children here Thursday and Friday afternoons on Osceola Ave. He was sponsored by the Jaycee-Ettes and was played by Max H. Thum. Bicycles were the main request of both boys and girls. Then came guns for boys and bride dolls for the girls. The Jaycee-Ettes delivered 18 dozen candy canes to colored town for distribution to the children during their Christmas eve program." The Jaycee-Ettes sponsored an event that included a visit from Santa and a parade between about 1955 and 1960.
