Description

Several people on the back porch of the Stuart Post Office. Broster Kitching originally established the rooming house Stuart House (later the Stuart Hotel) in the late 1880s. After he became postmaster in 1894, the house also became the post office. He is pictured here standing in the middle. Louis McFarlan is seated, second from left.
