Labeled: Elinora Fredrickson about 1908. Wreck of the George Valentine. In October 1904, the Italian barkentine Georges Valentine sailed from Pensacola bound for Buenos Aires. On 16 October 1904, after hitting a storm, the ship ran aground in shallow water and wrecked off Hutchinson Island near Gilbert's Bar.
