Item

Title

Stuart train station, c. 1900

Description

Train depot at the river's edge with carriage nearby. Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Stuart on the St. Lucie (p. 14) with the caption: "This photograph of a mule-drawn wagon delivering pineapples to the Stuart FEC freight depot was probably not taken during the height of the harvesting season when the area would be a beehive of activity.
