Phil Pence, retiring manager of the golf club-house in Port Sewall, grins proudly at a caddy cart presented to him by Martin County Golf and Country Club members at a membership meeting at the club last week. Onlookers for the presentation were (left to right) George Parks, Jr., clubhouse committee chairman; Dr. Paul Thomas, Jr., club director; W. A. Oughterson, who earlier in the day had teamed with his wife to win a two-ball mixed foursome tourney over 24 other couples; Pence; W. B. Tilton, Jr., greens committee head; Ed Higbee, tournament committee chief, and Mrs. Ed Higbee (Jessie), club secretary-treasurer."
