Photograph published in Gilbert's Bar House Of Refuge - Home Of History by Sandra Henderson Thurlow and Deanna Wintercorn Thurlow (p. 52) with the caption "A sign with '207,' the number designated to Gilbert's Bar Coast Guard Station, was placed on the dune for the benefit of airplanes. This photograph was probably taken in 1918 when Earl J. Ricou served in the Coast Guard on Hutchinson Island."
