Description
Palm Beach County Land Company dock in Palm City with sign reading "Palm City Everybody Welcome." Photograph taken before a ferry made trips to the area and two years before a post office was established.
Charles C. Chillingworth purchased the land that would become Palm City in 1910 and established the Palm Beach County Land Company, where he served as president. He called the area Palm City Farms and started soliciting sales of the land parcels with advertisements in newspapers all over the country.
