Description
The Al Fresco Hotel in Jensen. John Lawrence Jensen built the Al Fresco Hotel in the late 1890s. It was the first hotel south of St. Augustine and was a part of Jensen's vision to create a community that would attract settlers to the area. The hotel burned down before 1935 (according to the obituary for one of its later owners, John Thomas Stanley, published in the Stuart News 15 Jan 1935).
