Description
View of buildings and Indian River inlet, taken from the Jupiter Lighthouse. Caption on back of postcard reads "Jupiter, Florida. The Inlet. Mouth of Indian River. Forms the southern entrance to that remarkable salt-water lagoon, the Indian River, which from this point extends northward for a distance of 250 miles, or within 40 miles of St. Augustine. In the whole distance it is narrowly separated by a thin strip of land from the Atlantic. This inlet is guarded by a first-class coast light, and has weather-bureau and wireless telegraph station."
