Description

View of the Carlton Hotel before being torn down due to fire damage at the Triangle Lounge (to the right of hotel). The Carlton building was originally the Hotel El Belva and Harrison Cafeteria, built in 1923. It became the Hotel Carlton in 1929. John Mann's Outlet Store occupied the ground floor of the hotel.

The Bentel Building in view to the left of the hotel. Originally built in 1907, the Bentel Bakery for the first in Stuart. It later became Ziegler's Bakery then sat abandoned for many years until it was torn down in January 1971 by order of the city.
