Pace's Restaurant during demolition, 1961

Item

Title

Pace's Restaurant during demolition, 1961

Description

Originally built as Chisolm’s Grill in the 1920s, the building later operated as Meadow’s Restaurant from 1955 to 1956, before being renamed Kelly’s Restaurant. In the late 1950s, it changed hands once more and became Pace’s Restaurant. The structure was demolished in 1962, as seen here, to allow for the widening of U.S. Highway 1. A Sinclair service station is visible to the right of the restaurant.
