Clipping showing the Carlton Building and burnt wreckage of the Triangle Lounge after the fire that destroyed it on 16 Dec 1969. (Unknown source) Both buildings were soon after demolished.
The Carlton building was originally the Hotel El Belva and Harrison Cafeteria, built in 1923. It became the Hotel Carlton in 1929.
