Fish and Wildlife Service officials move buckets filled with striped bass from a National Fish Hatchery (Welaka, Florida) truck. According to the Stuart News (25 Oct 1962), 235 striped bass from Maryland were artificially introduced into the North Fork of the St. Lucie River in October of 1962. The fish were released at the Port St. Lucie Marina and both Martin and St. Lucie Counties passed a resolution to protect striped bass from being caught.
