Description
Postcard of the F.E.C. railroad bridge across the St. Lucie River, Stuart, Fla. View of large building, train bridge, and landing pier for ferry, and bridgetender's house in upper right. The original wooden Florida East Coast railroad bridge, built in 1894, was replaced by a concrete and steel bridge in 1905. The "auto bridge" was not built until 1918.
