Description

Caribee charter boat docked at the Fishnhol marina with three cottages also in view. The Fishnhol mobile home park and marina was in North Manatee Pocket, Port Salerno. The Fishnhol community was first developed by M. P. Payette as a fisherman's camp with riverfront cottages around 1940. The Caribee charter boat was part of the Stuart Sailfish Club fleet and sailed out daily from the Fishnhol marina with Capt. Alex "Ali" Raphel at the helm for many years. In June of 1961, the Caribee boat was wrecked by an explosive fire.
