Water tower graffiti for senior class, 1961
Item
Title
Water tower graffiti for senior class, 1961
Description
Graffiti message painted on the Stuart water tower reads "Seniors '62." According to the Stuart News (20 Jun 1991), the water tower was a popular graffiti location for many years, especially for Martin High School seniors to celebrate their graduating class. This water tower graffiti tradition eventually ended after flag designs painted on the tower rendered graffiti messages illegible.
