Crowd watches a flag being raised at an event formally dedicating the House of Refuge as the House of Refuge Museum.
Published in the Stuart News (13 Dec 1956) with a caption: "Up Goes 'Old Glory' at Dedication. Bernard Hodapp, Jr., who decommissioned the House of Refuge as a Coast Guard station in 1945, hauls up the flag at dedication ceremonies in Stuart Sunday. Former Mayor Jim Henry assisted. This flagpole will be placed at the museum."
