Published in the Stuart News (14 Oct 1954) with the caption "Locally-Devised Rake Injects Steam In The Ground. Flower grower C. M. Luce (right) and his foreman, Kenneth Hampton, inspect the Luce Flower Farm's rake-like device that is employed to steam-heat the soil to kill off weeds and insect pests of the flowers. The mechanism at right pulls the rake. In center rear is the stationary boiler that generates the steam."
