Train station welcome, 1960

Description

Crowd of people gathered to welcome Anne Langford (center) arriving on a train. Sign reading "Welcome Home Hollywood Stars" in view behind Langford. A welcome home party was held for Mrs. Talley Crary and Mrs. Ann Langford in February of 1960 after the two women returned from a trip to Hollywood to tape a Mother's Day television program about the mothers of stars. According to the Stuart News (18 Feb 1960) "[Cray and Langford] returned by train via Chicago and were given a royal welcome with a hillbilly band when they arrived."
