  • Several workers inside a citrus processing plant. The workers hold large burlap bags with TreeSweet Citrus Pulp printed on the front. The TreeSweet Products Co. plant, located on 98 acres off Bell Avenue to the southwest of Ft. Pierce, processed citrus for both frozen concentrate and for single strength juice. Construction for the Ft. Pierce plant began in June of 1956.

    Listed in the Florida Photographic Concern record book 2 (p. 26) as "7507-20 Grapefruit in Pack House Wabasso L." Labeled "A.B. (Alf.) Michael in his grove." Alfred Benjamin Michael was the mate on Walter Kitching's boat, Wave, and settled in Wabasso in 1887.
