Packing Oranges in Florida, c. 1909
People working in a citrus packing shed. Caption: "Packing oranges. In packing oranges, boxes of light material are made, and each orange is wrapped separately in tissue paper. They are placed closely together in layers, so that there will be no rolling or sliding, and care is taken that only one grade is put into each box. According to the size of the fruit, a standard box will hold from 96 to 250."
