McDonald Building, 1993
Originally the McDonald Building at the corner of Akron and Joan Jefferson Way (Second Street), rebuilt in 1916 after a fire (1 January 1916) that destroyed several buildings in downtown Stuart. In 1930, Lizzie Ludwig Beyer (1882-1969) purchased the building and moved the Little Dixie Cafe from the Krueger Building into the building and it was then referred to as the Beyer Building. After the cafe was closed in 1946, son Charles Beyer started the Tradewinds Restaurant there in 1957. -
Vacant Dyer building, 2009
Dyer's Dry Goods store opened in 1914 and closed in 1982 as the Dyer's Department Store. As of 2026, it still stands vacant at 10 SW Ocean Blvd. -

Unidentified building prior to being torn down, 1967
Unidentified building (possible store) with metal signs advertising Pepsi and other products displayed on the exterior. The building was located near Stuart Junior/Senior High School in Port Salerno. This structure was torn down in 1967.
