Deputy John Murray, Sheriff James Holt, and Deputy J.T. Kelley with a12-foot, 500 pound alligator, killed after a 14 year old Palm City boy drowned in a canal on 10 Sept 1978. The alligator attacked the boy either before or after the drowning.
