  • Workers load cut flowers, chrysanthemums, onto a trailer. Commercial flower beds also in view under shade. The man on the left may be Ed Miller (1902-1981), owner of the flower farm.
  • Two men stand in front of covered flower beds at Miller's Flower Farm. The man on the right is likely Ed Miller (1902-1981), the owner of the farm and the man on the left wears a Miller's Flower Farm shirt with the name "Dan" printed or sewn on it. A red van with "Oodles and Oodles of Pompons and Poodles" written on its side is parked behind the men. According to the Stuart News (6 July 1961), Ed Miller and his wife, Louise, bred poodles in addition to their flower business. In 1961, the Millers built a 3,000 square foot "Poodle Pagoda" on their property, completely devoted to their dogs. The pagoda included a training space, covered runway, and lodging for over forty dogs. The slogan for the "Poodle Pagoda" was "Oodles and Oodles of Pompons and Poodles."
  • Portrait of Milton Christie. Christie worked as an editor and publisher for the Kiplinger Newsletter in Washington D. C. before retiring and moving to Sewall's Point in the 1980s. Christie was also a key supporter of the Martin County library system, serving as president of the Friends of the Blake Library organization and the founding president of the Martin County Library Association.
  • The Minschke building on Flagler Avenue (frontage on Osceola Street as well) in downtown Stuart. S. A. Matthews built the structure, and its formal opening was held on January 29, 1927. Frank Minschke purchased the building and along with his business partner, Arthur Thorton, relocated their Osceola Furniture Co. store to the location later in 1927. J. R. Holleran purchased the building in the 1930s. Several businesses have set up shop under the roof of the Minschke-Holleran building over the decades including the Stuart Grocery Store, Davis Hardware Store, Florida Mortgage Loan Co., Ricou Hardware Store, Western Auto Associate Store, W. W. Mac 5 & 10 Store, Coleman Firestone Store and Christopher Electric Shop.

    Seen in this photograph captured during the 1990s, Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. occupies the upper floors of the building. Luna Italian Restaurant occupies the first floor of the building starting in the early 1990s and as of 2026, the restaurant remains at this location.
