  • House belonging to William J. McClure located on Indian River Drive in Ankona (Ft. Pierce). William J. McClure purchased the 50 acre property in 1919 as a winter home and had the former house remodeled extensively; McClure also added a guest and yacht house to the property, along with an extended dock on the Indian River. The Fort Pierce Tribune (15 Jul 1919) described William McClure as "a prosperous hotel owner, having a fine property and hotel in Marcus Hook (PA)…." J. J. Pitchford purchased the property during the 1920s and it changed hands again to John Dordan in the 1930s.

  • Originally the McDonald Building at the corner of Akron and Joan Jefferson Way (Second Street), rebuilt in 1916 after a fire (1 January 1916) that destroyed several buildings in downtown Stuart. In 1930, Lizzie Ludwig Beyer (1882-1969) purchased the building and moved the Little Dixie Cafe from the Krueger Building into the building and it was then referred to as the Beyer Building. After the cafe was closed in 1946, son Charles Beyer started the Tradewinds Restaurant there in 1957.
  • Martin County High School band performs at Dr. Parker Day and the dedication of J. D. Parker Elementary School. According to the Stuart News (16 Nov 1961), music for the event was also provided by the Stuart Training School band and choir.
