Louis "Bell" Edason (1916-1988) at his Maribel (formerly Ruxton) Plantation in Eden (Jensen Beach). Published in Sandra Thurlow's book, Historic Jensen and Eden, p. 104.
Three men and a horse and buggy in front of Planters Security Bank in Jensen. The bank was founded around 1894 to serve pineapple farmers in the Eden area. The banks failed around 1908, leaving many depositors empty handed until a decree from the state comptroller awarded 14 and half percent dividends to be paid out to those that lost money, but this was not until 1929.
Three men, a dog and a woman stand or kneel in front of a tent with three turtles on a wooden platform. The woman holds a turtle on its side and places the cutting edge of a machete on the turtle's underside. Unknown location. Poor copy.
