Norman Alley with camera, c. 1955
Noted news cameraman, Norman Alley, sits next to a camera while eating a sandwich. Norman Alley served as a war correspondent and covered many world events but was best known for his involvement in making newsreels, including the first U.S. newsreel in 1912 and the last one made in 1967. Norman Alley retired from news and reporting in 1968 and made his home on Sewall's Point. -
