Lincoln Junior College (Ft. Pierce, Fla.) opened its doors in 1960, one of eleven Black community colleges opened in Florida. Indian River State College (Ft. Pierce, Fla.), restricted to White students, was opened at the same time. They merged and Lincoln Junior College was closed in 1966.Tags Students
