  • A brief history of the Hobe Sound Yacht Club by Ralph M. Roosevelt.
  • Joseph and Permelia Reed built a winter home on Jupiter Island in 1931, noting that there were 28 houses on the island at that time. This booklet details the ownership and house histories of many of the homes on the island, the founding of the Island Club and Board of Governors and other changes that occurred on Jupiter Island from the 1930s to the 1970s. Joseph Verner Reed (1902-1973) was the founder of the American Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford, Conn.
