Each student had to take their 15 cents up to the ticket window and purchase their ticket themselves. Once the train arrived in Jensen Beach, the students then took a bus ride to visit second grade students at a school there before returning to Stuart via the bus. Mrs. Lowery continued to take her second graders on the trip every year (a total of 28 times).</text>
