Osie Virgie Holyfield Hopkins (1884-1960) moved to Fort Pierce in about 1907. Later, she owned drinking establishments in Stuart and Vero during Prohibition. Her daughter, Madeline (1909-1996) married Albert Paul "Bert" Krueger (1896-1973) of Stuart.
