Palm City picnic dinner, January 1913
Large gathering for a New Year's picnic dinner in Palm City.
The Palm Beach County Land Company ran advertisements in the Palm Beach newspapers, offering a free New Years dinner to those interested in buying land at $50 per acre in Palm City. As seen in the photograph, many people took advantage of the offer and made the trip from West Palm to partake in the picnic dinner and set eyes on the land up for purchase at Palm City Farms.

Palmetto Hall guesthouse, c. 1905
Mary Kitching Schroeder (1879-1958), center, and Palmetto Hall caretakers, Mr. and Mrs. Jannock, was taken in front of their home on the Palmetto Hall property, later used as a guesthouse.
