  • Marian Carpenter was the former principal of Port Salerno Elementary School and member of the Martin County School Board.
  • Martin County Courthouse with side additions, which were added in about 1959 and removed in about 1989. Behind the courthouse is the water tower with an American flag painted on it, which was done in 1976 and replaced with a flag and the Stuart name in 1991.

  • The old Martin County Court House, originally the Stuart School with an extensive remodeling and addition designed by architect L. Phillips Clarke in 1937, is a historic Art Deco style courthouse building located at 80 East Ocean Boulevard. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

    In celebration of the 1925 establishment of Martin County, the town of Stuart hosted a series of events on 28 and 29 January 1926, including a large parade. Governor John Wellborn Martin attended as a special guest.
