Deputy Slater Grose, c. 1965
Deputy Slater Grose working on an outboard motor on a boat. Slater Grose (1936-2007) served in the Martin County Sheriff's Office for 14 years, starting as the jailer and ending as the second in command under Sheriff Roy C. Baker.
